New litter!!

THESNAKEDEN Mar 03, 2008 05:48 PM

This is my first litter ever produced. I woke up around 3:00 a.m last night to see the first little one coming out. She had 8 healthy little ones (3-4 hypos) and 7 slugs. Two of the hypos are really clean with pink sides and nice tails. I'll post some pics after they shed. I was hoping for a bigger litter since she's roughly 6' and 14lbs, but I'm excited for my first litter.

Thanks guys,
I know to a lot of experienced guys, this litter probably seems like no big deal. For me being my first, it was really cool to witness. I'm excited for what could be possibly a couple of more successful litters to come.
Here is my big albino that was paired off with an awesome DH sunglow. And a het anery with a DH ghost.
Thanks for the kind words.

Hey, big congrats on your first litter, especially being able to witness the process. From the looks of it, you have some great stuff still on the way. Definitely keep us posted.

Congratulations again!!!

It's funny how that sounds, kind of takes me back to when I was 12.lol I mean at least 13. Your right though, I was so excited about this litter, then on top of it she held out to 119 POS. I'm so happy that I have healthy little ones, wish more slugs where fertile. But I guess I should be thankful for the healthy ones.
Thanks
Ralph

To see the new life come from something you have raised and cared for.
It amazes me every time I have a litter or a clutch.
Also you instantly have more hungry mouths to feed!
When you have a small collection like I do, a litter of boas can double your collection instantly..especially from a big boa.

Congrats once again!!

I am glad to see that you did produce from that female. Now the fun of raising the babies begins.
