I couldn't feed my Ball python in his regular feeding tank cause I was holding a baby rat to be picked up for rat rescue. So I fed him his frozen mice in his regular tank. he's a great eater and I never had a problem with feeding him just to note. My concern is the mice were wet cause the bag leaked and they got soaked not to mention he put the one in the water bowel. He then moved it to position the head and got all the damn bedding on the second mouse. Will he have problems with digestion since he swallowed a good amount of bedding? I use good snake bedding and it said it was non-toxic. What should I do ?

feed him in the bathtub or get a 3$ storage tote for next time....

Are you sure he swollowed THAT much bedding? Just a little might not be a big deal...

You can take him to the vet for an ultrasound-- seems a bit expensive though...

Not much else to do besides wait and watch-- make sure hes drinking and when he poops you'll know all is well...

It was not like a handful or anything maybe a spoonful. just stuck to the dead mouses wet fur. He's resting on his drift wood right now getting warm from the lamp, he looks content. I know I should've gotten a plastic container or something. thank you for your advice, I hope he will be okay.

a little bedding shouldn't hurt.

Although it's true rat bones do get digested, wood is a different thing all together. For whatever reason cellulose doesn't digest, unless you're a termite or a carpenter ant . Large amounts could be a problem, but a small bit will probably pass with the next poop no problem. I have a hard time ubderstanding how anything that has a pretty much straight gut gets bound up at all, but dehydration could play a big part in that I suppose. I've personally never had a snake get bound up from substrate, generally constipated yes, but not from substrate, and a warm soak usually fixes that. I wouldn't worry to much. Just my opinion.
