Hooks on a palne

mdterp Mar 03, 2008 08:05 PM

Do you think I could bring a snake hook in luggage on a plane?

you'd have to have it checked, since the security at the airport has no idea what it is they'd most likely not let you bring it as a carry on

I did, in 2002. I just put the hooks/tongs in my checked baggage.

I use polycarbanate hooks so I have no issues with them in my suitcase or carry on.

Last year I purchased & used a Trav-A-Lite hard plastic golf club bag. No problems checking in, but the case had to go through a separate security area.

Should have no problem with checked bags, carry on might be a bad idea these days.

For what it is worth, more traditional hunters take firearms in checked bagage. You just have to comply with regulations, but can take pretty much anything but biological agents, some chemicals and explosives.

Happy travels.
