ARE SARDINES A GOOD FISH TO FEED TO CAIMANS??
yeah why not? sounds good to me.
and even if you do, make sure it is quite sparingly. Guppies would be a better choice, although, I understand they are considerably more expensive. The problem with fish, is Thiaminase. Many fish, including sardines, contain an enzyme called Thiaminase which breaks down Vitamin B1. All fish have it, but some just contain higher amounts. Some, aren't nearly as big of a deal. Also, avoid feeding any frozen fish. The freezing process actually helps build Thiaminase in a higher concentration. Feed only fresh fish.
