can anyone recommend a good BRB book?

mitchbuff Mar 04, 2008 12:12 AM

I like to get get a book dedicated (at least in part) to whatever snake I plan on getting, but have yet to find one about just Rainbows. If anyone has any recommendations, I would appreciate it. Oh, and I was wondering how I was doing sofar: I got my neo brb in a plastic cage with three hides, one on the warm end, one in the middle, and one on the cool with moist moss, a large water bowl, and a climbing vine, and i give daily mistings. The warm end says 79-80 degrees and the cool end is usually in the low 70's. He stays in his humid box 90% of the time (I don't know if this is common, why I want the book) and used to always explore at night the first couple of nights I had him, but now I don't notice him out any after dark. He has taken both thawed fuzzies I've given him with no worries. How am I doing?

I once fell from a 50' tree with many branches that slowed my decent and landed directly on my back on a large rock...

My best friend said...Dude are you ok ?...

I said...Give me 5 minutes...

"No sir...I didn't like it..." R&S.

Hey I actually just bought a pretty good book about rainbows. It is titled "Rainbow Boas and Neo Tropical Tree Boas" and I bought it off of Barnes and Noble's website for $6.99. The books author is R.D. Bartlett. It is pretty interesting and details all of the rainbow boa subspecies as well as the neo tropical tree boas. It also goes into pretty good descriptions about how to captively care for these snakes. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help fellas. This is truly a wonderful snake and I want to provide for it the best I can. How am I doing on the setup?
