here's the giant
Wow both VERY nice reds... where are they from? Wish I could stumble onto some syspila locally! LOL, let me know if you ever wanna try any Black Racer 'hot spots' here in FL! j/k
Chris

we got plenty of blacks, blues, and yellow bellys but I would still love to turn florida upside down. LOL!
I know I do! getting cabin fever, almost that time again
Yeah from what I see I do love the Ozarks! Florida has some nice finds as well... but I love smaller NA milks -- I get a rush out of just finding an eastern milk! Very nice syspila you have there -- again!
Chris
Can't imagine living in MO and finding syspila under every board and trash pile. Maybe paradise is in some woodsy patch in the Ozarks!

Nice, Jeff. I'll keep my fingers crossed that your hypos throw eggs like that again!

Super clean syspila. Mind sharing locale?

mine was collected in south west illinois along the mississippi. the second photo was taken at larue pine hill in the shawnee national forest, we never disturbed this snake however so there is no size comparison to see how gigatic of a red this actually was.
That is beautiful!,......I'll bet you were happy after capturing that one!!, I know I would be.

After capture, still on a head rush, driving to a new spot, a deer.............................WHACK_ssssssssssssssssssssss, $800 in damages, night was over. She was well worth every penny!
LOL!!,......Wow!, most nice things usually come at a cost, but that little jewel really pushed the outer limits for you that late afternoon!..hhahahaa!!.........the story of life I guess!

some pics from larue pine hills, bald knob, and the little grand canyon. ENJOY!
Very cool pics of the scenery,......man, that last pic of the "brook wash" there, looks like PERFECT snake habitat!,....I can just picture them by the "truck-load" in there!,........in reality, that's probably NOT the case on THAT given day though,...huh?..LOL!
Sure looks optimum!

but it was air conditioned down there. there where tons of herps out that day, and the 4 foot speckled king was a nice treat to find.
Very cool!,..........thanks for sharing those great pics. I bet that Speckled made your day, as well as any other good stuff you captured!

Now that's beautiful country to cruise for snakes... I doubt I'd care if I didn't find anything. Though it's alot easier to say!
Thanks again for the pics...
