Our female which has been breeding since oct is pushing her substrate around....there is now a spot where there is none on the bottom...bit it is mounded around the spot...should we put something else in there besides the cypress?....any suggestion on how to prepare would be appreciated

Has she ovulated??? Is the area she cleared off her hot spot?? If yes to both of these then you can guess she would be laying 30 days after her post ovulation shed.

well...for a while she stayed in her hide spot...and I work so much i ain't sure if she ovulated or not...I do know that her and our male have locked up like 10 times since Nov...the last time about 2 months.....and yes the clear spot in in the hot spot

Mine have done the same then layed. I added mulch arround her trying not to disturb her and she just pushed it back and layed the next day.
Seemes they like the bare floor?
