A Call to Fight!

Hey all, I have had many dealings with these animal rights groups over the last 24 years....and I will say this....They believe in what they are doing.
Those people at the SPCA, HSUS, PETA, ALF, GREEN PEACE, SAVE THE WHALES, and a host of many others, seriously have not got a clue! Yes, they are CLUELESS!!! The difference is they believe in a cause greater than their own selves....wrong as that cause may be they are fighting for it!
These organizations started out with a handful of individuals who thought they were going to save the world, and SMART money came along and climbed up into the saddle.

These organizations are funded by media campaigns that PREY on the EMOTIONS of PEOPLE!!
They show the starving puppy with his ribs showing....yeah who wouldn’t want to send $20 bucks to save that poor puppy? Well, the truth is that puppy was filmed and killed. I have seen videos on the ALF website against the fur trade, showing raccoons skinned alive....Check them out for yourselves, BUT look at the people involved....these are 3rd world countries...this is how they survive...that culture may support practices we cannot and do not agree with, but these animal activists are using those film clips to try and destroy the fur trade.

I also said before, that we should UNITE and start a world organization that would include the Trappers and the farmers and the Fisherman and all the other organizations that have been under attack by these animal rights groups!

I said before about this proposed ban, that we better wake up....This is bigger than a proposed ban ...yet I have seen very little being said on any of the forums....what had flared up, has subsided and people seem to be turning tail or sticking their head in the sand.

Once this proposed Ban goes into effect....Florida may be the one to loose the big 5 reptiles...maybe more....but what does this say for us as a whole? We do not care for our young....or you could say we are killing off our own, to save ourselves! WHY NOT FIGHT???

This particular Houston, TX guy lost his animals to the SPCA, they are now the property BY LAW of the SPCA, and they can charge this person every day for the supposed care that they supposedly give his animals. Most will be sold off through their own personal channels, and there is nothing anyone can do.
The SPCA, can at will choose your house....does this scare you?? Well it should....but don’t run and hide...we need to fight!

If WE were to get enough support (1000 people minimum) to RALLY at the White House in Washington DC, and protest this proposed ban on reptiles and get some eloquent public speakers to support us, and speak on our behalf, then we would have a fighting chance. The media would have to respond! This would make headlines Nationwide and we could have a Gov. agency set up to receive calls in regards to such a protest! Get the people to voice their opinions!

Open this to all those who have ever been attacked by the animal Rights groups...make this a Global Campaign! These animal rights groups are Terrorists!

I’ll say this again, No fight?....then I suggest you run! Hide, because this is for real. These people will not stop until there is NO PET OWNERSHIP ANYWHERE!

None of the powers that be, will stop until all the rights have been taken from us and then we will truly be their SHEEP!!!!!!! Nobody wants to wake up my friend. They are too busy working and going through the fast food drive thru and trying to get home to watch the next episode of Flavor of Love 3. ( The few may never be able to change the egoccentric behaviours of the many, because we are so few. ) May something out there, hopefully have a desire to give us the Spiritual Enlightenment that we need as a race and one day find out that we knew God all alone and his name is you and me and us. United we stand, Divided we fall. I did not understand these things when I was a stupid and arrogant child and now I wish that I still did not understand some of the things that I have been enlightened on, " ignorance can sometimes be bliss. These groups are not clueless, they know exactly what they are doing. They know one thing that much of the herp community doesn't seem to understand - that this issue has everything to do with PR and media coverage, and very little to do with science, reason and logic. And we have to ALWAYS keep in mind that public sentiment is NOT in our favor, at least not nearly as much as for other issues like guns, death penalty, etc. I would guess that most people don't give a crap about reptile owners. It's a tough battle to be sure. Marches and protests might work, but why not just go directly to the media, or at least try? There are media outlets that might, for example, do a story on this, and/or offer to host a debate between a real reptile expert and a USGS pseudo-scientist or a PETA person. I've sent letters to several national news shows and talk shows, but I doubt one letter is going to convince them to do a story on this. The longer we wait to rebut all of this junk science, the more it will stick in Joe Q. Public's mind.

Send an email to John Stossel. Send an e-mail to the Glenn Beck show. Send a letter to Nightline. Send a letter to any paper that writes one of these silly scare-tactic articles. IMO, that's the only chance we have. In fact, if anyone wants to use what I wrote instead of writing his/her own letter/e-mail, send me a private message and I'll give it to you. If anyone has any other suggestions for a media outlet, I will happily write a letter, make a phone call and/or send an e-mail.

Anyway, that's my opinion. I'm not sure we need to unite the world to make progress. Maybe if everyone in this newsgroup sends an e-mail to one of the shows mentioned above, we might catch a break. It would be a start, at least. Gotta start somewhere.

That sounds about ballpark what you're talking about fellas.
I'm with you. The only conspiracy theory I stand by is the one were "they" do everything they can to dumb us down to factory working automatons. No life. Just working for the company store. "They" have pretty much adopted Mexico's socioeconomic model for us. The funnel is narrowing. The herd is nearly in the pen.

That's a great question, I was wondering the same thing. Heck,
if a group can get the federal gov't (USFWS) to act without providing any sort of burden of proof there is a federal problem, maybe it's not that hard????? Any Congressmen/women participate in this group? Actually, maybe if we can find one that owns a reptile...
