First time breeder here..just wondering when you introduce the male to the female how long does it take before you can tell if they are interested. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

This winter is my first time pairing ball pythons also. I usually put my male & female together in the evening. Within an hour she starts wagging her tail like a dog. I've heard from other posts on this sight that this is not something that occurs in all pairings. But I've put my snakes together 10 times this winter & 9 times they were locked up by morning. Nearly every time before locking up she did the tail wagging thing. I'm guessing this is some form of "come and get it" activity.

I think the tail wagging might be more a way of saying, "dang it, that guy is in my house again and I bet he's gonna try and stick that thing in me again, I have a head-ache"
