More snake pics! Figured I'd share some shots from this afternoon... These first three are all Parachute taylori... Really hard to accurately capture their colors -- will be playing more with trying to when I free up some more time...
Enjoy,
Chris

Tough little milks to come by! Really nice Chris......
Jeff
I know... actually only have ever had a Rifle animal prior to these. Looking forward to seeing what they produce!
Have a good one,
Chris
Those are amazing. Taylori are a treat to see. I've got some photos in the archives somewhere that I'll have to dig up and post. Keep the photos rolling, buddy!
-Cole
Any shots of taylori actually... here are some pics (not well taken) of a Rifle female I managed to not keep... lapse in judgment there I suppose. Live and learn...
Look forward to some more Cole... Thanks.
Chris

Like my 11 year old would say "those are dope".

Wow what a shot... that must have been a fun day! Thanks alot and have a good one...
Chris
I'll get some more pics re-sized and toss them up here but this is a very pretty little cb Diamond Forks UT animal from my photo archive.
Jeff

One thing that I don't understand, is that I know someone that had Utah Taylori in the early 70's. I know that they also produced for them, and sold off the offspring. Some of the offspring made it to Germany, others as far as I know stayed in the U.S. Now why doesn't anybody in the U.S. have legally captive produced Taylori? I am aware of Utah's blanket law covering native species, which we all know does nothing to protect "their" species.
What I don't understand is, what about offspring of Utah Taylori that were collected prior to
Utah's collection ban?

Hey Phil good question.
Cole and I have talked about that before. Where did they go? Are they out there still but just under the radar? If that's the case it's to bad they don't get shown off.
Worse still would be if the line just died out. Some kid w/ a nice pair of taylori in his Iguana cage, feeding them crickets and carrots, kinda thing.
I'll bet Shannon B. could shed light on some of this. He is probably rolling through his Rolodex of photos right now.
-Dell

I have several pics on disks but I hve no idea what disks.LOL....
Anyway, anything connected to Utah is property of utah. They don't and never did a grandfather clause.
its a catch 22 cause you could claim you had old stock (old broda lines etc..)and maybe never hear a word but if they wanted to they could bust you and there is nothing you can do.
I even got rid of my legal colorado animals years ago just so there would be no questions.I havn't had a any taylori for about 6 years now.I really miss working with them and I had some outstanding animals.
Oh well, win some loose some.
L8r Shannon

Those eggs are huge for that little snake.
I knew you'd come up w/ something Shannon. When I first got into this hobby I was always blown away by how much information/photos you had, now I just expect it from you.
Your a wealth of knowledge. Keep it coming.
-Dell

Thanks Dell,
Yes, those were huge eggs for such a small snake.I remember it was her first year. The next year she gave five but four were bad.
Anyway, here is a little screamer for you.I didn't produce this one.
L8r Shannon

Shannon, thats a neat taylori. I like the black face on it.
Where oh where is it now? I hope it's still putting out more neonates.
Thanks for the photo. Dell
Hey Dell,
Nice Gentilis! Is that from Jeff's Lincoln Co. Ks animals?
Here's a pic of one of my female.

Man oh man Phil, really nice looking gentilis. Love those clean cross overs. She being breed this year?
Cole produced this gentilis, which is not from KS. It looks a lot like the one you posted.

That thing looks fat and healthy. Glad you picked up that one -those black and white snakes with the red spots on their sides always get me going!
-Cole
That's killer, Jeff. I love the thick black and clean contrast that snake shows. Any more photos filed away that you care to show us?!
-Cole
Thems is "phat"!!, know what I'm sayin' yo?
Lot's of "BLING" goin' on!,.....ya' feel me?
Yes guys, unfortunately, I've been around and seen a lot too!,.hhahahaha!!

Nice shot, Doug. Classic hondo "M" on the chin.
-Cole
Funny you mentioned that, because a long time ago when I posted this pic, I also said.........."note the classic "M" pattern under the chin"..LOL!
I guess great minds really DO think alike!

A Rifle, CO taylori photo I dug up. I'm sure there are more - I just need to dig further. For those of you who don't know, Rifle is just a short distance up the Colorado River canyon from Parachute in Garfield Co., CO. just before it flows into Utah.

Grrr.....sorry for the ridiculously tiny pics but I'll never figure out the nuances of sizing and pixel saturation.
First up is the sibling to the Diamond Forks animal posted above.
The egg pic is a feisty Rifle CO animal and last one of her kiddies.
Have more older pics around, check back in a day (yes, I work that slowly)
Jeff

That female with the eggs is a looker! I bet those hatchlings were nice looking, too...
-Cole
this Spanish Forks UT girl was the last decendant from one of the great old collections who will not be named.
When I had her, she was 12+ years old and chugged out 10 huge eggs every year and was the most easy going milk I've ever seen.
She's about 30" in this archive pic.
Jeff

Nice Jeff,
I've been in Spanish Fork Canyon area many times. Those taylori come out of some rough country. Nice country to be in. I like how bright that girl is.
Keep those photos coming, there great.
-Dell
Hwy 118, celaenops. I don't have any taylori, so this will have to do.

Wow ... very nice indeed --I'll wait two days for more pics like that Jeff!
