Hello!
I thought I’d get some camera time with some of my snakes that hadn’t been photographed recently. Not the best pics, but by the time I get home there’s no more sunlight. Sorry about the P.J.’s but after working all day in a suit, I want to be comfortable.
First up is Bud, my fiance changed his name to SnodGrass because of his bumpy nose (he had surgery back in ’02 due to impacted teeth from a bad nose rub when I got him and his nose has been misshapen ever since). He’s a proven het albino that was originally from P.K. One of the most docile snakes I own.
And in his tub while cage is being cleaned:
Next up is Cinnamon, a little salmon female with some ‘ladder-tail’ and one of the first boas I purchased when I stopped doing ‘rescue’. She is coming along nicely (at least I think it’s a ‘she’, still need to probe. Got the short tail and small non-curved spurs, but a bulge past the tail like a male would).
This isn’t a great photo but you can see her side and a bit of her belly in this picture:
Hanging out in her tank:
Lastly some updated pics of Zahara, my high-pink female that I rescued in ’02. She had a litter in ’06 and stayed a little darker than normal but not too bad. She is one of my favorite boas!
Some water from the mister on her head/neck… I am still working on conditioning her.
She is getting more docile though!
Close up of her beautiful face:
In her holding tub while cleaning out the cage:
The flash washed her out a lot in the above pic, so I tried again while holding some fabric over the flash, a little better but kind of a purple wash. Oh well! I’ll try again when I am home and it’s sunny.
That’s it for now. I’m not breeding anything this year but good luck to all of you that are!
