I have had a male beardie for about 4 years now, and in January purchased an adult female as a companion. I was also hopeing for some eggs, but it doesnt seem like that is going to happen anytime soon. The male does all the ritual - black beard, head bobbing constantly, running around her all puffed up, and he'll get on top of her, bite the back of her head, and thats it! Never once has he tried to scoot under her to finish the job. The female is very receptive too, she head bobs back at him and arm waves. I think shess sexually frustrated.
What can I do to help them mate successfully?
