Shedding for 10 days???

dacherrypicker Mar 05, 2008 05:35 PM

One of my larger females has been in shed for about ten days now. Constantly in her water dish!! She still is opaque as can be. She has not bred yet. Attempted but did not witness a lock on her. She did not want anything to do with the male. Of course this was before I noticed she was going into shed! Any clues?? Does this happen sometimes? She has not been with any males besides one for a day and like I said they didnt want anything to do with eachother. Thanks for any input!!

How does this compare to other sheds she has had? How is your humidity? As you should know the shed cycle can take a while sometimes, starts to blue, eyes fog, eyes clear, dries out, sheds, I have seen this whole process take a couple of weeks.

She usually sheds in about five days from when her eyes cloud up. She has been clouded for 11 now. The humidity is about 38% and her water dish is always full. She soaked for about 7 days then she got out and has been sitting on the warm end for 4 days now. Just really weird!!

Up the humidity to 70%.
