I am wondering if my uro is big enough to have play sand as a substrate, He is about 6 inches long, is that long enough for sand?

I think most folks on this forum would say it is too small and impaction incidents too great with sand at his size, and would suggest paper towels/new paper. However, I use rabbit pellets in my cage and they seem to work well. I am not worried if some get ingested as they will break down and be passed, plus they add some aesthetics to the cage. My uro can also dig and scratch around in them.
