Man, that is REALLY clear. Have I asked you this before, what kind of camera do you use?

Do you use a tripod or just hold it really still?

I've got an excellent tripod for my camera, but I never remember to have it set up when I have a herp in hand.

For snakes, I usually shoot from the hand, as I never quite know what the snake will do, and it allows to get different angles readily. And, like you said, I hold it VERY still..LOL!

Also, a strong light source is a MUST for good crisp macros, or else they can be dark and blurry. A flash used up close, will "wash-out" the photo with way too much light, of course a "flash diffuser" can be used fairly close with fair results sometimes, but it depends on many factors.

Thanks again, ~Doug

Yeah, I've heard of people using coffee filters as flash diffusers for digital cameras. I've had some success with paper towels. It is hard to get enough light in this house, too many low-watt bulbs. ^_^ I haven't been able to get any good outdoor pictures, for one, we've had a lot of storms lately and for two, Eddie doesn't come out until nighttime. >_<

I think this was the clearest up-close image I had of Lizzie:

Nice Lavender Holly!,........hope you find the little dude soon.

And yes, I have also used toilet paper/paper towels in the past for shots, and sometimes fold it accordingly.

Hey Doug... very nice. With all the morphs and hobby animals out there I'm still always taken back with nice floridana... nice pair you've got there!

Hey, thanks Chris!,.........I also like the fact they are just plain "real deal" locality youngsters!

How many of THOSE are still seen much in the hobby?..LOL!
