New pickups from Jeff Hardwick

mike_panic Mar 07, 2008 09:13 AM

Hey guys. I received a huge box from Jeff yesterday and here are some of the Milks that were inside. I know this isnt the BOI but I figured no one would mind if I said this......Jeff is a flat out terrific guy. The way he packaged and labled each animal was flawless in every way. The feeding records were unreal. Even for adults, the records were from day 1. This is someone we should all model ourselves after. Thanks again Jeff. Thanks for looking. Mike Panichi

Mike,

Nice looking Cherry Co., NE multistrata! The syspila (Lake Perry, KS?) are smoking, too. What a beautiful, deep red.

I agree 100% with your assessment of Jeff. Stand-up guy, all the way.

Jeez, thanx for the kind words and it's just what I needed on this "Siberia revisited" sort of frozen day.
Enjoy the little guys Mike - they look happier already!

Mike, very nice pick up, good for you.

I like the solid black saddles on the multistrata at the end of the tail. And the syspila in the third photo is really neat looking. Love the head cap on that one.

But Jeff Hardwick is a dork who couldn't spell his name if it wasn't tattooed on the back of his hand.

Only kidding, Jeff's great. And he had the tattoo removed years ago.

Peace

Do you mean the tattoo that said DORK!
Man, that was a cool tattoo too. Jeff, I can't believe you got rid of it. JK! LOL!!!

what type of milk snake is that?

DMong Mar 07, 2008 03:43 PM

Those are "KILLER" looking animals you got from Jeff, and he's also as good as they come!

I'll bet you're real happy with those little dudes!

Ahhh, Montana.
No place like like it!!
Men are men and the sheep are scared.

Hey, you know cowboy boots were invented in Montana of course but do you know why??
You can put the hind legs of the sheep inside so they don't run away!
woooohooooo!

grogansilver asked what kind of milks those are, so let's pause the comedy channel for 2 seconds:
the top snake in Mikes post is multistriata (common name is pale milk) and all the rest are syspila, the red milk. The one Dell posted is extremely clean (porcelan white) and the saddles are unusual that they don't extend further down the sides. A superb snake! I've attached another syspila pic.
They're both highly variable subspecies (pales and syspila) with a tremendous range of patterns and colors.
(and Dell's OK when he takes his meds)

Great Stuff Mike!!

Jeff has some of the best stuff out there and it comes as no surprise to me that his record keeping, packing, and shipping is top quality as well! Good work Jeff!!

That Jeff is awesome -- makes ya almost wanna have him as a cool uncle or something twice-removed (oops, almost said grampa LOL....). My syspila have done VERY well and will be introduced to each other next season.
