Twitching Male Het Carm

dacherrypicker Mar 07, 2008 11:52 AM

I have a het caramel male that all of the sudden has gone off feeding and hes these twitches. Almost like he is cold. I dont know how to explain it. I can take a video if it would help anyone identify the problem. I have been waiting for a long time to make caramels and this is bothering me pretty bad.

Hey there

Kinda weird..

Let me ask you this , have you brought any new snakes into your collection?....

Have you changed anything you have done dealing with your collection lately?

Nothing out of the ordinary. I had a spider juvie die on me about a week ago from never eating. She never even showed an interest in food. Something else a little weird since the person I bought it off of said she was eating fine. Said she was eating f/t off tongs. I tried everything!!! Not sure but that may have something to do with it. The het carm was closest to her!!

Hey man

Best advice I can give would be:

1. When you are working with your snake s, make sure you was your hand between handling from now on.

2. When you clean , feed etc.. make sure he is the one who is cleaned /fed last.

3. If you can , move him to another room and monitor him , see what happens.

Could be something serious , could just be a weird snake LOL.

Let me know if I can help any other way.

Well I think I got him all better!! Last time he would take a meal was on 1/21. I got him to eat finally two days ago and he was fine then. No twitches or anything. I guess a good healthy home raised mouse helped him out quite a bit!!
