Well there are moles in east LA according to some but you said west central LA so we must assume the prairie king.
Have you ever found a mole king in Louisiana??
I once had a handle on a breeder but have since lost him.

I guess the praire kings are more common than the moleking and the south fla mole is even more difficult to aquire, in the wild or in the pet trade. know any breeders? JB

In my experience around Houston, Prairie Kings are one of the more likely roadkills you will see in early March in east TX. They seem to come out onto roads at night when few other species are venturing forth. Later in the year, they are much harder to find, but March is a good time for them.
