...and it looks like there are some nice ones in the clutch. There are a few (like this one) who have some really nice barring already. It's going to be hard to let any go

Excellent news!

Take a look at the Pappy, then (at 2 years). He's lighter in the light areas now and looks even better.

Get yourself a barneck, Jake. You know it makes sense.

I don't think I'll be getting anytime soon, but I'm definitely leaning toward it. I don't know what it is about them, but I'm somehow still a little hesitant to get some. Maybe when clastolepis are finally being bred regularly in captivity, I'll pick up a pair.
