Anyone for a box turtle chat?

PHBoxTurtle Mar 07, 2008 04:38 PM

If anyone would like to join me in the Reptile and Amphibian chat room this Saturday night please let me know by responding to this post. If I get one other person to join me----I'll do it! I am thinking about 7pm Eastern on Saturday. If 1 hour earlier or later is better-let me know. Saturdays are open chat days so we might have to share the room with others. Tell me if you have other day or time requests and I can see what I can do.

It would be nice to have a box turtle chat a few times a month. I have things I would like to know, too! I hope some of you experts will come to the chat as well. Tess

thanks for the offer.
I thought that you were 6 hours ahead of us.
By the time another 45 minutes comes around,
my brain will be somewhere else.
next time/p

I'll be there.....completely new to box turtles, but one just crawled up to my door step today. What a coincidence.

I released the FL Box Turtle today. The little guy wasn't doing well for me. I couldn't get him to eat anything I offered and he passed two BM's in the two days I had him. Obviously he is eating somewhere out there! Lots of tiny buggy parts, greens, etc. I put him back in my yard and happily made his way under my trees and disappeared into the bushy hedges. Must have been a good day for turtles 'cuz all the RES and cooters were basking at the lake in front of my house, too!

Awww, it sounds like the ending of a movie. Quite music in the background and a close up of the turtle leaving captivity and disappearing into the bushes, then the camera pans out, music gets louder and we see the RESs basking away!
