well this was a frist for me...i stared cooling them in nov..by mid nov. they were "cooled" that is i kept them in the same cages they were in already but shut off heat to that room...i still keep a light bulb on(there basking spot) the temp inside the cages ranged from 45 to 55 although in the basking area it was about 60...most all the time they stayed in the leaf litter box at the bottom of the cage hidden..i have to admit i was a little freaked out...the male stayed hidden and never came out..the female would come out once in a while but not too often...yesterday i brought the heat up to about 55 to 60 so in the basking site it was about 70..and the male came out! today i brought the cage temp up again at the bottom about 57 at the top 70..they were both out..they're about a year and a half old...so i fed them each one fuzzy rat to get them going...they seem fine..i plan on feeding them again in two days..then in a couple weeks going back to regular feeding ...so that was no food ...temps about 45 sometimes for a day high 30s when a light bulb would go out...from mid of nov to now..about 3.5 months ..we will see how it goes from here..billy
