Many of the babies from my aberrant female came out already out of the sac. None of the babies had remaining yolk sacs. Well at least none other than this little one. He had what appeared to be a deformed slug somewhat intertwined with his yolk. I somewhat suspect this may have impeded his absorption of nutrients in the later stages of gestation. There was a lot of yolk remaining but he doesn’t seem to have any in his belly. He is very tiny. However, he seems alert and moves relatively normal considering his size. He even tries to climb up the sides of the tub
Initially I didn’t believe he would make it. He still may not. It will be a tough road. I’m doing what I can but it will certainly be up to him. He is hanging in there. I think he is pretty cool.
It’s kind ironic, I had daydreamed that perhaps there would be a super form produced in this litter that was completely chained or striped. I wish he was it and not the result of some developmental fluke.
Here he is. I hope he makes it.---Kraig
