Outstanding pics and nice snake. I'm in the market for a new camera since I sat on mine in Honduras. I'll have to check out that model. Macro settings are a must for wildlife photos.

Thanx

it's a very cool little tool...

you have to get a bit tooooooo close for a really good close up... but the clarity is amazing! Stabilizes images pretty well and focuses automatically (gives you a little "beep" and a green light when it's in focus)... Helps avoid taking 50 pix and only finding 3 that were worth taking.

That is a great post with the camera model included. Very nice. I bought a Panasonic Lumix when they came out for about $600.00, and I haven’t even figured the thing out yet. I’m ready to get something else. You could inspect for mites in the skin between the scales with these macro shots! Better than me with my reading glasses!
This one’s more of a tri-color…

DMong Mar 09, 2008 10:27 AM

That is one cool lookin' tri-colored Honduran!...haahaha!

got a little "tipping" in the red though!,...........oh, and one granule of mite poop too..LOL!!!!

you're sarcastic buddy, ~Doug

I will be attempting to get a decent shot of the side of my male micrurus soon. It has a few of the red rings where some black from the ventral side go up a ways into the red- definitely has red touching black. And despite the familiar rhyme, in this case, red touching black is NOT good for Jack! I think it will be an interesting shot if I can get it. Coming soon to a Forum near you…
