New male wild type

Rob Lewis Mar 08, 2008 06:25 AM

Here is a picture of the male wild type that I got at Hamburg. I posted a picture of the female last week but this guy was not cooperating at the time. He just shed yesterday so I snapped a few quick pics this morning (my photography skills leave a lot to be desired). I picked him because I liked the cicle pattern on his neck. Can't wait till he grows up. Thanks for looking.

I like the background color of that one, Rob.
If you were a thayeri breeder, I reckon they'd call that "buckskin."
At any rate, it looks like that one's going to turn out pretty nice.

....I really like his coloring, too. As much as I enjoy seeing some of the morphs that are out there, for me, the wild types will always be at the top of my list. Two of the prettiest looking corn snakes that I have ever seen were two completely "normal" animals I saw in the "wild" while living in FL. One was crossing the street in my extremely suburban subdivision and the other was cruising the perimiter of the rhino barn at work. "Wild", huh? Pretty adaptable creatures, I guess.

BTW - that is an awesome picture (as usual) and I really like the earthtone project you have going on your website. Great looking animals.

...the headline!...LOL! I guess that says something about my photography skills. I need to work on that. He is poised for growth, though....he will eat anything I put in front of him at any time!
