Leaky Water Bottles.......Is There A Fix

ginebig Mar 08, 2008 07:47 AM

I built a rat rack and am using water bottles till I can get the fixin's for the gravity fed system. Do I deal with it till I replace them with the gravity fed water system, or is there a fix?

Replace the washers if possible.

Always fill as full as possible, and after you tighten down the top, give the bottle a slight squeeze to squirt out some water and establish a better vacuum.

keep them clean you can tell after a while from a distance when you have a problem if they are more full or empty then normal and don't drop them it dents the tubes and leaks if they get chewed you can use 2 part epoxy putty to repair for penny's make sure it's for potable water
