feeding eggs to black pine?

wildduck Mar 09, 2008 07:40 PM

My 9 year old male black pine usu. eats very well, but for the last 3 months or so has not been eating well at all. I did get him to eat a hamster two nights ago (he usually eats rats that I raise). I read that pines sometimes eat eggs...should I try offering him one of my duck eggs?

I don't want to give him anything potentially harmful to him, so I wanted to know what the pros think about this. If I can feed him some, how big should the egg be?

Thanks for the help!

I can't answer your question on if it' ok or not to feed an egg, but here's a few pics that I've admired on Kingsnake, of a gorgeous black pine eating a few eggs.
