Pac Gopher from the field

FunkyRes Mar 10, 2008 12:38 AM

First one for me for this season. Hopefully not last.
Little guy - I think some come out of the egg bigger than he is.

Sweet find. Good looking little gopher. Was it under something or out cruising around. Time & temps? A Pit was our first snake of the season too. We found a 3' San Diego last weekend on an overcast 54F degree day @ noon.

He was found under a rotting log at 5:49 PM.
I don't know what the temps were - this has probably been the warmest weekend of this spring so far.

Pretty cool. Don't you have a female Pacific also?

Yes - she's about 4 - 4.5 feet right now. Not officially measured, guestimated.

Her enclosure is 4' long - I should take her out and compare her with it.

Thanks!

Here's an updated pic -

He's off to a good start :D
He followed the fuzzy around the tub, staying about a half inch behind it, for about two minutes before finally deciding to devour it.
