Help! My egg looks funny.

Mary_Beth88 Mar 10, 2008 08:59 AM

I don't know if this is normal or not, but it looks weird to me. This is my first time trying my hand at breeding and my first egg produced. It was supposed to hatch on 3/8 and I'm a little concerned. I know that pre-hatching denting is not uncommon, but it has looked this way for 4 days now. I have a Hova-Bator form LLL Reptile and I started incubating at 82 degrees for a female. I very slowly have been increasing the temp. because I know this affects the hatch date and brightness of color. It is in a deli cup of moist vermiculite with all of the holes taped up and I open it for a few seconds and puff air in every 4-5 days or so for air circulation. It is now at 88 degrees. Does anyone know if this is normal and if not, what did I do? Thanks.
