A sign of Spring...

My Charleston locality pair have been locking up for over a week now. Last night I happened to fetch the camera when I noticed they were locked up. Here's some of the shots I got. They disengaged moments after I opened the door to the cage.

Oh most definetly! How many people see this? I think it's very educational for hobbyists. It does a pretty good job catching the detail of the hemipene showing the hooks and structure. Very interesting indeed! Yes, mating snakes does something for me. It's part of a long year of preparing and a step in the right direction to produce yet more snakes. So why hold back from detailed pictures of this event?
