Rack Temp Ranges

neveryou Mar 10, 2008 01:58 PM

So Im new to the whole Rack usage, I have finally started using one and have a few ?'s

Like: Temp ranges from hot spot to the front?
Mine is currently 86(hot spot) and 74-80 in the front, that does not sound right to me but????
Belly heat with a rheostat.

The noramal room temp is about 74 to 80??
Is this too hot? for a rack?

Thanks
Max

For what? You realize what you are housing should determine what temps you have it at? 86 hot and 80 ambient is fine for boas & pythons but might be rough on colubrids when they have no way to escape the small enclosure that rack bins typically are.
