Response from Missouri legislator

natsamjosh Mar 10, 2008 04:51 PM

For what it's worth (which might be nothing), I did get an e-mail response from one of the sponsors (Sarah Lampe) of that silly Missouri bill.

I must admit that I was not expecting any responses from
any of the bill sponsors. Anyway, here it is:

---------------->

Dear Edward,

Representative Sara Lampe is aware of the errors in this legislation and does not expect it to progress through the legislative process.

Sincerely,

Kelly Schultz
Office of Representative Sara Lampe

Glad she has faith in the cause she's supporting!

Yeah, I love the wording of the response. If it has known
errors in it, why not "un-sponsor" (sorry, don't know the proper
gov't terminology) the bill?! Just more evidence this issue (as well as the movement against reptile ownership as a whole) is not about science, logic or reason.

Thanks,
Ed
