VET says d3/phosphorus levels are 2:1, no treatment for MBD

I finally took Psych to the vet. She is a qualified for examining chameleons. She has never seen MBD in chams!! They only get a cham in 1x every 3-4 months. Got the blood test done and he had a 10.5-5.9 ratio. I stopped dusting my crickets 2 weeks ago when Eric said I should and kept him out in the sun as I had been doing. What should I look for as the cause next? Lack of something in his diet(vitamins?), parasites? She said he was not over/underweight. She also told me that crickets/waxworms is not variety enough for a diet and that I should go pick up some BOK CHOI, which is a mixof coli greans used for stir fry and hang that on top of my cage. I am completely lost as to what caused his bowed legs and I am still questioning her knowledge as far as chams go in general. She said he is in good health. She has been in the business for 18 years, could her knowledge be slipping, what if she isn't keepingup with it. She said the next step would be for de-wormer.

That's good then. He may be already on the way to recovery. If he had good D3 levels, he might simply have not had enough calcium! Gutloading the crickets is the best way to ensure Ca levels, supplementig should be just that-SUPPLEMENTING their diet. That's one of the reasons I said to lay off the dusting, too much is about as bad as too little.

Should I start dusting again with the herpcare (d3 & calcium). Since no one has heard of this could you tell me the okay levels to have of those to vitamins? Also I have the rep-cal herptivite, should I only be using that once a month? Then do I need to purchase a multivitamin supplement yet? and how often should i be dusting them

I don't know about the de wormer. I cannot see how such a young animal would have ANY deformity like bowed legs caused by parasites. You should call and get the exact blood results back. Don't go by a ratio. Find out what the levels of D3 in the blood were, usually the tests look for 25 hydroxy vitamin D, the precursor to D3 itself.
From the website, myiguana.com, I have found info about D3 levels in IGUANAS. Wild year old iguanas had levels of 225 nmol/L, compared to about 80 in a captive raised one with artificial supplements--and NOT suffering from MBD).

When raised under mercury vapor bulbs, the levels shot up to about 175-200.

While the ratios can be more of a trick than the levels themselves, if you have the right ratio, but levels are way down, you have the same problem.
