Home sick

medyssa Mar 11, 2008 12:54 AM

I am home sick and bored out of my mind. I plan on taking pictures of the snakes this weekend hopefully after a few of them shed. Is anyone else up this late?

Yeah, I'm still up. I've been building a P-51 Mustang model and sort of lost track of time. :-P Being homesick sucks. At least you have your animals, that can really help. Feel better!

Hehe, I built a model car with my dad when I was a kid, it was a mustang. He painted it red on the inside and blue on the outside for my brothers and my favorite colors. It was pretty cool though, my dad was into that and letting us make model rockets and we would take them to the park to shoot them off. On windy days we had to get some off of roofs, people were pretty tolerant of us though, we never broke anything, just scared the crap outta people. Model cars are more quiet.

Haha yeah, model rockets are fun! I used to build those too. They definitely can get away from you, though. I had one that I was preparing to fire. Just as I ignited it, the stand fell over, and the rocket came straight at me and my friend. We jumped out of the way, the rocket hit the ground and actually exploded! It was scary, but makes for a great story! Anyways, to keep this on topic, my girl Sapphire is eating like a pig, growing very fast, and still grips like crazy to anything she can.

Who says we have to keep it on-topic? More often than not most of the posts are about the rainbows and then random things. Ah well, I will follow suit. Here's Zeek and his two sisters, hes the orange one.

Yeah, I was just under the impression that if we strayed too far off topic the thread might get deleted. Model rockets and things aren't quite snakes. :P Haha, oh well, they're still really fun!

I don't think they delete threads for being off topic, more so for violation of TOS. For example if I said...

I had a litter of gadgets last week and was anyone interested in buying one?

or

How much is a XYZ worth?

Those would be a clear violation of TOS.

Also improper language. Although that is a vauge one. I've seen entire posts/threads deleted. Also seen just the "bad" words edited over..

is this the first year you've bred hook? How old is he? I thought he was just a couple years, although I guess that would be better for a male than a female to do.

Zeek will be that next winter, but he seems smaller than all of your guys. I think Zoe and Ziggy are about as big as Zeek and Isis who were born in 06.

yeah im working on that, feeding my females tomorrow, my stepdad is up with his schemes about building snake cages into a wall in our garage and stuff like that. I told him I am buying new cages when I sell the babies this spring. I love the critter condos and want to get three or four of them to stack up. Sliding doors are my dream....with locks of course

reminds me of a song where they're singing about moving from the bedroom to the shower. Slow down with the snake porn dave! I am sick enough as it is! Hehe J/K.
I am happy though, it looks like all three of my girls are getting sluggish, Copper is definately acting gravid, she balled up when I tried to weigh her the other day. I think I need a new scale though, it read 4.5 lbs and I know shes more like 6.5. It got beat up a bit in the move though, so I guess I cant be surprised. She is my smaller one though, going on 9 or 10 and not nearly as long as cherry or Dudette

You really have quite the love fest going on over there! I'm glad to see that Daisey has taken a liking to Fluffy. Where you gonna put all those keepers, Dave? Sigh, I guess you'll have to sell Pebbles, Ziggy and Zoe to me to make some room. Oh and don't forget those pearls.....

Still no action spotted with the Rainbows over here. They have been together since Dec, but nobody looks gravid yet. Oh well, I guess there is still time. I've do have gecko eggs already and expecting my first couple clutches of Thayeri eggs, though.

GO FLUFFY!!!!!!!

Building another room to handle all the overflow!!!! Don't count on any of those going anywhere!!!!! I will most likely be trimming the collection here and there but none off the top!!!

Looks like I already have several gravid BRB's, may have an early start this year, figures since I have a bunch of baby boas coming as well!!

I'm claiming first dibs on Zoe and Ziggy. Although if you've ever been IN Dave's snake room you would know that he would probably convert a bathroom into a baby snake room than sell some of his best snakes. Am I right Dave?? Plus one of your girls should be going to college soon.
