I do not know how this happens. Any ideas or comments?

I do not know how this happens. Any ideas or comments?

I have had plenty of dead snakes in eggs that looked like that. It looks either premature,kinked(maybe through high incubator temps)or both. You can cut the skin away to see if the snakes motility will be restored but it will likely die of the resulting infection. Best bet would be to euthenize the animal.Sorry,Jeff
I've had dead in egg hatchlings that look like that but I've never had one hatch. Did it get out of the egg on it's own or did you cut it out?
Unfortunately, I agree that euthanasia would be the right thing to do in this case,

I really hate to kill such a beautiful animal, but what is the best method? I did cut it out of the egg. It came out on its own a third of the way.

For all herptiles: the gentlest method is to place it (in a container of some kind) in the refrigerator for about 2 hours, then in the freezer overnight or longer.
Not a fun thing to do, but sometimes necessary.
