My common garter snake wont eat. he's 46 cm. I put worms in his place but all he does is hide under the grass. I also tryed crikets but he seem afraid of them. plz help.

Try feeding guppies or goldfish, or if he's very tiny, minnows. Some garters are very picky and won't eat anything but fish. Crickets are often refused, and not all will accept worms.

This is around the time most garters are dropping babies so if you have a FAT snake that isnt eating....get ready,Jeff
