superworm question!

teaspoon Mar 12, 2008 05:28 PM

I'm breeding superworms, I have some now that are just getting ready to pupate, and I just ordered 1000 more. When the beetles hatch, can I put them in with the worms? would the worms eat the eggs and/or newly hatched worms? I don't want to have to have a ton of containers, but it wouldn't work if they were just going to eat each other.

I used to put the bettles in a similar set up. But used to use chick starter. I would leave the beetles inthere for 2-3 weeks and than move them to another tub. The worms will eat the eggs. It takes a little time fo rthem to be visible after they hatchbut I always had a try or two running. They are not like mealworms. They see, to eat the eggs. Todd
