Dave,
After reading the response of yours to my post (pic) yesterday I was disturbed. I don't want to be so I hope you will respond to this one as well. One of the coolest things about this particular forum is that the spirit of helpfullness always underlines the other stuff. You have become a valuable resource to the Rainbow community on the forum and in real life. It is great that you are here, offering suggestions based on your personal experiences. Although I no longer participate on a daily basis, you do. You have become a constant and people are depending on you. I used to feel the need to check in daily because the forum was often slow, and some folks needed real help on a timely basis. I tried to be available for the sake on their Rainbow. It is wonderful that someone that knows what's going on is available on a daily basis(you). Jeff was the constant that I know even from the past forum as well as now. Jeff has taught me many, many things and I am pleased to have more folks participate in educating folks on proper care/husbandry of these not so regular ole boa constrictors....there is much I can learn from you too (and have).

I do not know how you meant the response to my pic/post to be interrpreted by me or anyone else. I took it as being accused (too strong a word) of mis-representing my brb which I had no intention of doing...that's why I said the pic makes the snake look look nicer-looking. The dime for size comparison was obviously shaded with a too red appearence, and I stated you tweaked photo was more like it looked. With all I have going on with life - 3 jobs, sick Mom, many other animals and way too little time....just don't have time to play around with pics. Try to quailify them with the blanket statement of I'm A crappy photographer. I'm not visiting KS to build my ego or any other reason other than to hopefully be useful to somebody sometime. Usually that is me. I was pissed off, now I am not, and really am glad you are part of this forum. Diversity causes our union.
Thanks for reading.

I ENHANCE all my pic's to hide the animals true beauty and also only take them from certain angles to make them appear to be robust.

I remember when we all where posting pictures of ourselves, even then I tried to be more humble. I really do not need all the women here spanking, er um, spamming my email address with advances of cash and neonates just to see me naked.

With that said I will reveal myself once and for ALL...

and yes I have that many teats...

Have you ever been to Lubbock, Texas? Finding a frog or toad could take a weeks if I started the rain dance today. Might could find a frozen one locally...we do have a big name Hognose fella here. Occasionaly a bobwhite quail will enter the chicken pen at one of my jobs, probably be the easiest for me.

Linda,

I was in Fort Worth once for 3 hours on my way to California in the early 1990's. I am sure I would love Texas. I LOVE to Bass Fish and Texas got some big'ens there. I am fairly confident that a quail would work better then a frog any way to be honest. Too bad I couldn't mail you one. I got 100 day old ones from rodent pro for my rat snakes and one of my Jungle Carpets.

My female Brazilian loves chicks as well. I have gotten even gravid females who refused rodents to continue feeding during gestation by offering them a few chicks once per week. I assume a gravid female is an opportunistic feeder and if they can feed they will do so. Darn snakes know better then us what's good for them no matter how much we hypothesize about it.

I would keep doing what your doing and try stuff like that to get the little bugger going. I also heard of this device if you can afford it. I can't and if I had one I would ship it to you to let you borrow it, but alas I can do neither.

Hey Linda, I meant no disrespect, was only trying to help adjust the pic to a more normal appearance. I know many of my pics come out not quite right. After litterally thousands of pics, using the same camera, same area with the same lighting, I pretty much get them fairly close right out of the camera.

Really, sorry you were upset and glad you are no longer!!! Honestly, I knew it was the difficulty of capturing these gems "on film" (or should that now be in digits??) Just thought I'd try my hand at adjusting back to a more normal appearance.

I look at some of my early pics of my 2004 litter and I know, while they were nice, they were not "that" nice.

Linda,
...I notice that you have spent way less time here over the last two years than you did before. I hope that your life will get a little less busy sometime in the future and you can spend more time posting here. We are sort of like a big crazy family here and you have always been an important part of that family.

I didn't know you had a woma. I always liked the pics I've seen of them although I've never met one in person. One of the clients I work for acquired a pair last year and I am keeping my fingers crossed that he will be able to produce a clutch. (I'm real high on the list for the first pair, he owes me a good deal) It's still a while away....but time goes fast. BTW, I didn't check the ability of mine's pupils to contract, but know they are the same in both eyes. Eventually I'll check, but since there is nothing I can
do about it besides waiting to see I choose to wait and see. If I knew of a reason that would result in an action on my part I would do it sooner. When I first found the little guy I thought it might have a neurological deficit but am not sure now.

Other than my BRB's I've got a pair of South Florida Kingsnakes (probably my all time favorite snakes, so personable) and the male Woma. If I could I'd add a few more select species to my family (not looking to good right at the moment, my wife just thinks I've got enough but I'm working on it).
I'm really intrigued by the smaller subs of BCI. When you have a chance could you post your experiences with the Hogs and Corns? You got them from Rio Bravo right? I'd love to see some pics.
Heres a pic of Wally when I first got him. He is cool.

Damn Frank, that is an awesome looking getulus (no wonder it is THE getulus).
I'll get some updated photos of my male Shiva. He is an impressive animal. Last February I measured him at 68.5 inches using Serpwidget. He might be all of 6 ft. now. And those Brooks are heavy bodied snakes.
