Pics taken on the southern end of Guam

I took these pics on the southern end of the island.

I saw a bunch of indicus:
This guy kinda me of a komodo dragon, well a small komdo dragon. But for a V. indicus he was pretty hefty.

A juvenile:

One of the few remaining "native" forest birds eating a papaya: Although they are still around it is very rare to see them nowadays:

A shore bird:

Another victim of the browntree snake: Gehydra oceanica. These guys used to be very common now they are a rare site.

I thought this log would look nice in one of my cages.

But someone else claimed it before me......

Here's the log's inhabitant after a few rough minutes of me trying to get him out of the log.

An odd basking position???

Now he was alert and about to take off:
