Who's caught the most in the last 5...

CMSMITH Mar 12, 2008 11:45 PM

years. Just bored at work amd there isnt much interesting on any forums lately, so I thought Id get a little survey going. I used 5 years since I started hunting Tx 5 years ago, but other timeframes would be cool to know as well. I've found 13 live (2 AOR), 1 dor, and had one picked off the cut right in front of me. I was there every year for the past five except 2005. I estimate the number of nights hunting at about 60. Breakdown of localities:
3 Langtrys
5 Sandersons
2 Alpine
1 2400
2 Ft Lancaster

I think you wear the crown.

the Galvans have caught many more than that
El Paso guys have caught at least a dozen Huecos
T.H. has probably close to a dozen
G.M. close to a dozen
Coach about a dozen
R.P. caught 8 in one trip
Stu 7 in one year
I thought this thread would get some people to share where and what they found. I like to think I keep a good tab on this, but it would be nice to see a few more records. Oh well, I guess nobody wants to share. See you in a few months.

I caught one near Willow Mountain. Do I get a prize for the fewest?

Doug Beckwith Mar 14, 2008 12:32 PM

No prize for the fewest, because I'm sure there are a number of zeros out there to go along w/ the few larger numbers mentioned earlier, but your prize Daryl is for letting your one go after photographing. Good for you! Most of us have not gotten to that point............yet.

i couldnt imagine letting that one go. I think I might be able to let an ugly male from a locality I already have go, but no way could I have let go a snake like you found. Post a pic pleez.

I found the one "Elephant Mntn" female in '06-and that's it so far.

2007 - 3 - 2 on 277, 1 Davis (118)
2006 - 2 - 1 Sanderson, 1 S Alpine
2005 - 8 (& the wife caught one while I was elsewhere) 2 S Alpine, 1 W Alpine, 1 Xmas, 4 Davis (118)
2004 - 1 - 277
2003 - 4 - 277 ( 1 DOR on 277)

So that would be 18 . . . 19 with the DOR and an even 20 if you add the one my wife caught while we were "dividing and conquering - hers was S Alpine and I caught a Davis the same night).
