Ghost?

Eska Mar 13, 2008 01:00 AM

I purchased two snakes earlier today, and I was told they were a snow (it turned out to be a motley snow, yay) and a ghost. However, the ghost didn't look like a ghost to me. Compared to my others, she looks more like my anery than my other ghost. Either way, I just adore her.

What I was wondering, is if anyone else has or has seen a ghost this dark in colouration?

i am going to say without a doubt that that is an anery.
sorry, but i have not seen ghosts that dark, but i could be mistaken.

with all that brown I'd say it's a Great Plains Rat.

It looks like an anery cross of a Corn x Great Plains Ratsnake to me.

I have seen some pretty dark Ghosts in my day(those being farly dark pics to begin with), but as some other's have mentioned, I also detect a good amount of Great Plains Ratsnake(emoryi) in that snake, the brownish coloration, head chevron, side blotching, and a tendency for the dorsal blotches to form at a slant, all are key trait "markers" that it has a strong emoryi influence.
