Hi all,
Just got a new ball today - he's 3 feet & 984grammes. He was bitten a while back, apparently his silly keeper left a live rat too long without supervision and the rat went and took a bite outta the poor snake.
The wound has healed leaving a scar. According to the keepr, the ball is now wary of rats (who can blame him) and no longer takes rats. However he will take mice.
My question is: How can I get him to take rats again, reason being its easier to feed rats since I already breed them. I have a pastel ball that's eating well on rats. Any advice here would be most appreciated.
P.S. I myself do feed live but I monitor very closely until the ball begins swallowing, and I NEVER EVER leave prey overnight.
