I am really starting to get excited with this snakes progress......this is my 07 Blue Costa Rican Hatchling compared to a normal from the same shipment......what do you think?

THe Blue boa is on the left......she has orange/red eyes...compared to the normals....

There is CLEARLY something different about that animal. The questions obviously become...
Is it outside of the range of "normal"?
Can it be reproduced? If so, how?
What is it?
To me... that animal favors the T positive Colombians. Not saying it is, just that some of the attributes are similar.
Definitely a good catch (whether it proves to be genetic or not) and it's always nice to see something pop up in locality specific animals!

Really beautiful Costa Rican Boa!
My opinion is that this is another type of Pastel influenced Boa.In this case the under lying color appears somewhat blue.There is black on the tail splotch outlines ,not T-positive probably. Not quite a hypo but the Meddalions are really red with little to no black but once again black in tail pattern.The rest of the Boa has a light faded look probably Pastel at work.Lar M

Her color reminds me of the blue grey that hypo sonorans get in their sides during their light phases.
Definately a cool looking boa!
