my iguana was breed at 24. januar this year.
she is still careing the eggs...
i dont know but i expactet her to be more "full with eggs" cause on ther palvis area she looks empty.
i hope she did not reapsorbed here eggs or soemthing!!!
ont the tuch i could not fill eggs but it seams that when she is on here brach that some egg r wisible.
she has all set up like it should, laying box with huge pile of moist sand.
she is some what more nerovus, and going round all the time. she behaves like
i expected but it takes more than i tought it should.
but she is not digging the hols like she should...she is digging some but not neaely enough.
for last 5 days she is active form 10 to 16h all day...
she dose not eat for 5 days too!
she is swolen and bigg...
for how long should i wate for eggs....
the temp is not in the hightes cause it is spring and at night tems go around 22C!!day time tem is ok ..36-38C under spot light.
so i gues that eggs gonna be caried little more than in summer...
i did not expect that this "i wanna lay eggs" behaveoru last for 5 days ....could it last for longer?
should i bee woried

sorry for my Tarzan English
thanks

hi zarko, i am trying to understand if your ig went into breeding season on the 24 or if she was mated with a male on the 24. if she went into breeding season in late jan than then she should be close to laying her eggs. most igs will go 8 weeks others a little longer like mine her breeding season is mid sept to mid dec she a little off. but you where noticing her getting skinny that is normal around the lower part of her back just before the tail and the begining of her tail will get smaller to make laying the eggs easier on her. she will be digging holes for awhile so best to let her be alone and let her do her thing. she wont eat because of the eggs are taking up all the room. and if she is not eating she wont poop. so you will just have to wait till she is ready and she will lay them if you notice she is having a hard time when it happens you will have to get her to the vet right away ok hope i helped iggirl1
