Okay, so now that my terrarium is up and established and the geckos are happy and producing eggs what am I supposed to do with the knats that seem to be multiplying daily? Should I consider planting a Venus Fly Trap?

Large venus fly traps, I believe are able to eat small geckos. I know octopus plants are able to eat mice but those have a small tip with a sort of poison or something I forget that I think paralyzes the mouse....As for the gnats, I think the geckos should enjoy them and if you keep your bedding clean they will not come back....
Hello! No, i wouldn't plant a venus fly trap. Your geckos could get caught in it.
What geckos do you have? If you've got a small species of day gecko, then they'll probably eat the knats. If your feeding your geckos fruit mixtures, then the knats may be attracted to that.
Unless these knats are likely to bite your geckos, like a mosquito, then there is no problem with them in the tank. If they are being attracted to sweet things in the tank, take this out for a while. This will hopefully discourage the knats to gather and feed. Also, don't leave it in the tank over night or anything. Once your geckos have eaten/ignored it, take it out!
Hope this makes sense, and helps!
Claire
