My first Milk Snake

scelia Mar 14, 2008 06:37 PM

Here are a few pictures of my latest addition to the family. He is a ~20" Honduran Tangerine Milk Snake. I have named him Tigger, as my daughter thought he looks like him. I have owned man Kings in the past, but the Milk Snake is a definite change from my Mexican Black King Snake or the California King I used to have. Mine likes to be handled and rarely musks (once in the week I have had him). I rarely see him in his cage (10g with 2" of aspen in the bottom). There are hides for him, but he always burrows. Anyhow, even though I do not get to see him all the time, he brings a different atmosphere to the house. We have 1 King snake, two Corn snakes, two Tree Dragons. two cats and one mouse (don't ask)...

And for those with a very large monitor (1600x1200), you can copy and paste this URL to see a close-up of the first picture: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=7053621&size=lg

Very nice snake.... I am so used to looking at vanishing patterns I forgot how nice the contrast is with the bold black. Good Luck!
