The "Pyrex" bowls I use come from Target or Wallmart. But I think you are talking about the squat 2 gallon fishbowls, those I ordered in through my local pet store and lately I tried to get some more and they were unable to find any.......crap!!!

thang in them. Plus I believe if possible and practical to give a snake a water container they can completely submerge in.

Some times it just is not practical, but these are not too large and serve the purpose perfectly without the worry or more like annoyance of them tipping them over easily.

Oddly I have never had a stuck shed on my Brazilian's before, even when they made babies all shed easily from my recollections any ways. I ran into that stuff with Reticulated Pythons because I sometimes slacked off with the proper humidity during their ecdysis cycle. Soaked more then one of them for sure.

so as far as BRBs everything ive read is they need a water dish they can soak in. and dave has a good set up with the fish bowls. but im thinking about the sweater box hides.....

has anyone ever though to use those sweater boxes as a water dish??

im thinking they could be drilled two 3 or 4" holes on each side and cut out whats left inbetween to have a good size oval opening on all 4 sides of the box.

that done the water dish and a moist hide could still be stacked, but this also give option of putting the water on the bottom, or if you wanted to keep it on the top it wouldnt need to be drilled at all

what do ya think yes? no? maybe? its would also be allot cheaper too

I have a big melamine cage that's probably better suited to lower humidity animals. I dont want to put wet cypress on the bottom so I've got multiple sterilite boxes in the cage to help maintain proper humidity. One contains damp cypress, one's a damp moss hide with with lid & holes in the sides and one's got a few inches of water. My girl goes between the open cypress box, the damp hide and then the dry hide created by the water box and the wall. All of those open containers keep the humidity right around 78%, yet the newspaper floor stays essentially dry.

I've done both and like the glass better, easier to keep clean long term.

Heya Dave I know in the past you mentioned where you order disposable water cups for young BRB's and the plastic cups for feeding/transport but I can't find the post. Do you mind posting or emailing me the place you get that stuff?

I'm hoping to have a bunch of babies this year so need to stock up ahead of time

Sean.
