Jeff,

I need to know the height of your breeding cycle for your Brazilian's. What months do most of your breeding's take place.

When I bred Brazilians it was in October thru January with parturition in July and August. Since I got these from you as adults and I have bred at least one Brazilian under 2000 g with 13 resulting neonates I think that female may have a set rhythm I either have to reset or go by to perhaps be successful in breeding her. They bred through out those months this year. I saw several copulations in Nov/Dec/Jan but if the rhythm is set those where recreational. I know these snakes breed at different times of the year all over the US. I believe they are aseasonal breeders and can be bred in every month of the year depending on how they are raised and what cycles they are subjected to. These cycles could very well take years to reset and may explain variable results when getting sexually mature animals from different parts of the US. Making successful mating's harder to achieve when you are breeding adults you have not raised in your own neck of the woods so to speak.

So please elaborate.

Frank,
...It has varied over the years. Recent years most breedings have been around february. They were generally earlier before that. Cooling is a problem here due to variable weather during the winter. I cool them when the weather allows it.

Well she will be a monster next year for sure at the rate she eats. She is well over breeding weight now.

The two of them never turn down a meal, although the female is a little particular what she eats, she always eats though, the male is a GLUTTON and will eat anything but yet doesn't pack on the weight like her.
