looks like you were out taking pics same day I was. I'm just south of you in NC and this weekend was nice until today. thank you for the complment on my pics. just got the camera , pulled it out and started shooting. the corn in thr pic calm right down after I picked him up. did any of yours get nippy when you put them on the ground. or am I just lucky.I have never had a problem with him before but I liked his pose. I will post pics of my females after they have layed . got three in pre-lay shed right now. how is your season going? thanks Grant

its funny you asked how my snakes acted. The females were great... probably b/c they are getting fat from eggs, but i thought some sun would do them good. as for the 1 male i took pics of.... he kept smelling where his "girlfriend" was. i think actually in one of the pictures his nose is slammed into the wood from picking up her scent. Where abouts in NC are you? i'm originally from wrightsville beach, nc and actually just recently grabbed a few wild anoles as pets. I went back "home" in feb. and the temp was 67 degrees so i only picked 2 who werent brumating. So far breeding is going ok. alot of my girls werent large enough this year, but oh well. thats how it goes i guess. more next year!!! ~kin

i am only about 15 miles from charlotte, right on the nc and sc boarder. Glad to hear that your females are getting fat with eggs. This is a great time of year. I can't wait to see the babies have you been to any of the richmond shows? If you have, are they worth the travel to go to. good luck on your season may you be blessed with many eggs.

The expo coming up at the end of this month usually isnt all that great. but the one in october is usually pretty good. tons of leopard geckos, hatchlings and breeders. If you are thinking about the october one its the 26th which is probably a sunday. the expo this month is the 30th. i've never been to the northern, va reptile shows....so i dunno about those..
