male panther not eating

sirvnt Mar 15, 2008 01:20 AM

Hey all. I'm new to this. Just registered. As the subject says my panther isn't eating. He hasn't been eating for almost a month now. It was a gradual thing but now he just doesn't really eat all. He drinks all the time. I've taken him to the vet and they did a stool sample but found no parasites or anything. He's on antibiotics from the vet. I'm currently giving him repta-aid every now and then. Any advice? Thanks so much.

What is the basking temperature?

Has anything changed in the way you keep him?

What brand and type of UVB light do you use?

when he stopped eating nothing had changed. he had a weird thing going on in his left eye that the vet never could exactly figure out. but even with that he still ate until about a month ago. basking temp is roughly around 95-100 and the UV bulb is zoo med 24inch repti-sun 5.0 UVB. i've had the bulb since last may. thanks for the reply

UVB bulbs should be changed every six months

do you offer a variety of insects? sometimes a cham will get bored and refuse to eat the same old same old bugs
