I have been pairing my adult male pastel with several different females since the beginning of December. And still NOTHING!!! They are still locking up. I'm starting to think that this year isn't going to happen. What do you guys think?

Only since December? Don't worry about it-I've been pairing up over 30 females with various morphs since early November, and just got my first clutch yesterday. Several more should lay before the end of March, and many more in April. Ball bereeding is an extended process, not like colubrids at all....

The Avalanche has already started-it is too late for the pebbles to vote....
I got a pair of normals and he's been tryin' to hammer the botom out of it starting this month. It'll all come together when it's time. A little late never bothered anybody but the hummans

I agree, if you've only been pairing them since December, it would be very surprising to see eggs already!

Most of my females don't ovulate until March to May. Most of my babies hatch from May to September. So you still have a little bit of a wait until you start getting eggs.
If your females are young you may have to wait an extra year for them to produce.
Good luck,
Corey
Last season I started breeding my females in october of 2006 and got my first clutch on 3/18/07 and my last clutch in late june. This year I started breeding the first of november. I paired up at least 40 females at the same time with well over 150 females being bred and I haven't gotten a clutch yet.

"keep smiling; it makes people wonder what you're up to!"
If I read his post correctly, he isn't frustrated because he doesn't have eggs yet- it's because his snakes are still copulating. I feel the same way. I have two females I was fairly sure had taken only to introduce the male and see them going at it again.
